About Dead Zone Guide Service
I began hunting and fishing at a young age with my dad and my grandfather. I want to share fishing and duck hunting with my daughter and provide as many kids with this experience as I possibly can. Our kids are the future of fishing and duck hunting in Minnesota! That is the reason I decided to start Dead Zone Guide Service. I want kids to enjoy a great Minnesota tradition at a reasonable price. My guided fishing trips are on one of the best walleye lakes in Minnesota. Upper Red Lake is well known for it's tasty walleye and large crappie. I can provide you with the equipment and knowledge needed to have a great trip.
My hunts can include the use of a gun if you need to borrow one. I have both a 12 gauge (for an adult) and a 20 gauge youth model (for a child or woman). Over that past two years I have have had about an 90% success rating for shooting birds. I have not gone out for a hunt without getting birds and I typically hunt all but a couple of days of the season.
We hunt on either small lakes, back water duck sloughs to large grain fields. After hunting, I will clean and package the birds for you. I believe in waxing the birds to keep the maximum amount of the bird available for eating or will clean them how you would like them. I will also provide directions/recipes that I use when preparing my ducks. Or, maybe you have one your family uses that you would like to share with me and my other clients. I am an avid and experienced sportsman. I fish, hunt deer and both upland birds and waterfowl. I stay current on laws and regulations in order to provide a safe experience for you. I am based in Central Minnesota, just out of Princeton, but also guide throughout northern Minnesota. I spend the majority of my time at Upper Red Lake once fishing season has opened.
Princeton is located about 50 minutes north of the Twin Cities. We have a plenty of water and farm fields in the area for some of the best duck hunting. I grew up here and know and have hunted all over central MN, and other regions of the state.
